Valley of the Gods Slot Machine

While there are many pantheons of gods from the ancient world, there’s something particularly interesting about those from Egypt’s distant past. The stories of these beings may not be as well-known as those from Greek Mythology or Norse legends, but people are still somewhat familiar with the names of some of the most important figures from the ancient religion, such as Ra, Anubis, and Osiris. Tales that feature these names continue to be made to this day, including in popular movies and television shows like the Stargate franchise.

This is the same group of powerful deities that take center stage in Valley of the Gods by Yggdrasil, an upcoming slot machine that’s set for release in late August 2017. This new offering will feature the same classic Egyptian theming that players have come to know and love, as well as the gorgeous graphics we have all come to expect to see from this software provider. But there are also some great special features and secrets to be found here, which should make this an intriguing game for gamblers to test out.

Iconic Imagery Sets the Stage

The Valley of the Gods video slot is an upcoming online slot machine that will be available wherever software by Yggdrasil can be found. In preview images, the game looks absolutely beautiful, but that’s hardly a surprise given what this supplier has delivered in the past. Players can expect to see all of the imagery they’ve come to expect from games based on Ancient Egypt, including large statues of gods on each side of the reels and a sandy, ancient look to the entire setting.

As with Yggdrasil’s other machines, we fully expect that a free online slots version of this machine will be made available to gamblers on their website and that will probably be true at many of the online casinos where this game is available as well, so that you can test it before committing to spending any real cash. The game will be fully mobile-optimized, with both iPhone and Android casinos supported. It has also been built in the new iSENSE 2.0+ platform, providing a cleaner, minimalistic user interface that makes these games even easier to navigate on mobile devices.

Starting Small

The Valley of the Gods video slot is a five-reel machine that starts with a somewhat unique 1-3-5-3-1 layout for its reels. This is an all ways machine, but as we’ll talk about more in a moment, the number of ways you can win will actually vary during gameplay. One aspect that isn’t surprising: the symbols are exactly what you’d expect from a game with this theme, including various animal hieroglyphics and images of various Egyptian deities.

Eliminating the Blockers

While we won’t get to fully experience the special features on this machine until it is released, there appears to be a lot of excitement in store for gamblers who give this title a try. That starts with a respins feature that allows you to continue playing for free after any spin that results in payouts, a process that can continue indefinitely until a losing round occurs.

It’s also possible that you might further open up the reels during play. The game screen is actually laid out on a 5x5 grid, but 12 positions are covered with scarabs, which act as blockers. Each time you land a winning combination, each symbol in those paylines will release a scarab that will destroy a blocker. This opens up more winning ways, increasing your chances of scoring additional payouts on your reel re-spins.

Should you manage to eliminate all the blockers, additional wins will award extra lives and multipliers. Every five red scarabs will give you one more life, allowing you to continue receiving re-spins even after a losing round. You’ll also be collecting multipliers for every five blue scarabs collected, making this feature more and more valuable the deeper you can get into the bonus.

Horus and Anubis Await

With some unique features that look to be truly innovative, we can’t wait to get a chance to play Valley of the Gods in its finished form. Lots of games have used re-spins as a way to reward gamblers, but the number of twists included in this particular implementation looks to be beyond what we’ve seen from most other versions. We’re guessing there will be a lot of anticipation for this one, so we’ll be sure to post a full review once a free Valley of the Gods slot has been released.
