Six shows announced

50 Cent has announced his first ever Las Vegas residency, playing six shows from December to January 2025.

50 will perform the shows at PH Live at Planet Hollywood for the 50 Cent: In Da Club experience, with the shows slated around the new year celebrations on December 27-31 and January 3-4.

Planet Hollywood broke the mould with the Strip’s first ever hip-hop residency

The residency will cap a recent trend after Planet Hollywood broke the mould with the Strip’s first ever hip-hop residency when Ja Rule, Slick Rick, Fat Joe, and Doug E. Fresh joined DJ Cassidy for his “Pass the Mic Live” shows.

Tickets will go on presale for Citi cardholders today, and the general sale will start on October 19. The shows are all slated for 9pm PT apart from the New Year’s Eve performance, which takes place an hour later.

50 teases setlist

“I always bring the energy, and Las Vegas is the perfect spot to create an unforgettable experience for my fans,” the legendary rapper said in a statement. “We’re talking big production, surprises and the ultimate New Year’s Eve party for my Vegas residency.”

My first Vegas residency is going to be an experience, you don’t wanna miss this!”

On his social media pages, 50 added: “My first Vegas residency is going to be an experience, you don’t wanna miss this! I’ll be doing 6 Exclusive shows December 27 – January 4 at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Tickets on sale Saturday.”

50 has also begun to tease some of the names on the setlist for the shows. Some of his most famous hits such as “Candy Shop,” “In Da Club,” and “P.I.M.P.” are all scheduled to be performed.

$15m payday

The G-Unit mogul is already one of the highest-earning hip-hop artists of all time, with his The Final Lap 2023 tour seeing over a million tickets sold across 83 shows all around the world. The tour reportedly surpassed $100m in earnings, making him only the second rapper ever to cross the threshold after Drake.

50 is set to be paid $15m for the six shows

However, on a per-show basis, the Vegas residency will eclipse those earnings. According to TMZ, 50 is set to be paid $15m for the six shows, making it likely the biggest hip-hop residency of all time in Vegas.

In addition to the fee, the New Year’s Eve show will also be presented by his premium champagne and cognac brand Sire Spirits.
