You may recognize Amy as our November client of the month but she and her husband (who joined in March 2015) have been crushing their workouts both in and outside of our studio that we had to crown them the August ClientS of the Month! This power couple has lost an amazing total of 63.4 lbs and 50.25 inches together--that's INCREDIBLE! And they did it by working out two times a week with Maggie in the studio, participating in our weekly Saturday reBOOT Workouts and also creating workouts for themselves at home.. they are a true inspiration and because of that, they are our August ClientS of the Month!

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE YOU WANTED/NEEDED TO START A PROGRAM?

Chris: Several months before I started at reFORM studios, I was in the worst shape of my life. I was 330 lbs, and my ankle hurt so bad that I could barely walk most days. It was so bad that my doctor prescribed a handicap placard for my vehicles. I started losing weight on my own prior to joining reFORM by changing my diet, but I hit a plateau where I wasn't progressing, and my ankle was still bothering me. As a former Marine, I know how to work out and push myself, but it's hard to get going without proper motivation. Meanwhile, I was seeing the results that Amy was having with workouts with Maggie, so I figured it was time to give it a try. I started with a free Saturday boot camp session to see what it was all about, and a few weeks later, I signed up and haven't looked back.

Amy: I've been a member of reForm for over a year now. I joined for the accountability it would provide me to lose weight. I renewed because it's become a part of my lifestyle and routine. The accountability is not important now because I've changed my lifestyle.

WHAT RESULTS HAVE YOU ACHIEVED SINCE STARTING YOUR PROGRAM?

Chris: Since I've started working out at reFORM Studios with Maggie and the other trainers, my overall feeling of healthiness has improved immensely. I very rarely have the pains in my ankle that I was experiencing before. Just attempting to run a couple steps was nearly impossible before, but now, I've run two 5k runs and have even run sprints on a few occasions. Just doing simple tasks around the house and on the boat are so much easier than they have been for years. In the past 5 months, I've gone from squeezing into 42" jeans down to comfortably wearing a 36. The only downside, if there is one, is that I've had to spend a lot of money on new clothes over the past year!

Amy: I've lost weight, inches, built muscles, sleep better, feel better in my clothes. I have a healthy husband too!

**Chris has lost 22.8 lbs and 14.25 inches since joining March this year. Amy has lost 40.6 lbs and 36 inches since joining in August 2014!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT YOUR PROGRAM/HAVING A TRAINER?

Chris: Having Maggie and the other trainers there to guide me in different workout programs and push me to do my best has been key to my success so far. They're great at keeping me motivated, as well as designing programs that are continuously challenging. Hearing all the positive feedback as my physique and exercise performance improves is also a great confidence booster.  I love hearing the cheers when I bust out a spurt of energy on the last 5-10 seconds of a set!

Amy: the workouts are never boring and always challenging.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO ANYONE ON THE FENCE ABOUT JOINING A PROGRAM?

Chris: Regardless if you've been trying on your own and haven't been getting the results you want, or you're thinking about starting something but are struggling to get motivated or just don't know what to do, reFORM Studios is a great way to get you on track to a healthier you. Their workouts are short in duration, but high in intensity. They are great at keeping you motivated. The classes are small, and you can even take private sessions if you prefer. They're great at providing alternate exercises if you have injuries or limitations without embarrassing you or making you feel awkward. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful with exercise and nutrition recommendations. If you're still not sure, try one of the Saturday boot camps. It's a great way to get to know what the trainers have to offer.

Amy: If you are on the fence it's probably an excuse that is stopping you from being a better you. Just try it for a few weeks and you will be hooked!
