Join us for Healthy Basics Cooking with Holistic Chef Ken Immer

Kick off 2013 by learning some new techniques in the kitchen for a healthier, better lifestyle this year.

We've invited in Holistic Chef Ken Immer, founder of gRAWnola, to teach a Healthy Basics series at the studio in January. Healthy Basics Cooking with Chef Ken ImmerWednesdays January 16, 23, & 30 6:30pm - 8:00pm **********Pre-Registration is Required********** $20 per class or $50 if you sign up for all 3! With a focus on understanding fundamentals, Chef Ken will explore a different topic each week talking about ingredients, tips and tricks, demonstrating some easy techniques and of course having tasty bites for participants! Chef Ken likes to focus on ‘adding’ to your diet instead of ‘taking away’, so he will teach you about items to add to your pantry that will allow you to keep cooking many of your favorite recipes, but using some new techniques to season foods by adding vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytonutrients, and of course great taste. He will also show you some simple techniques to create quick and easy snacks and staples that will allow you to prepare and cook with ease while enjoying nutrient dense foods. January 16- ‘Breakfast’ • Introduction to Chef Ken’s cuisine of understanding nutrient density, and a focus on kitchen staples such as nut milks and sprouts that can make breakfast and snacks a breeze. January 23- ‘Lunch’ • Learn about pantry “must haves” for a healthy kitchen, and how to make a few quick snack items, as well as new ideas for salads and wraps. January 30- ‘Dinner’ • Everyone has heard that kale is so awesome, but what do you do with it? Working with greens, sprouting quinoa, and a few other secrets for entrees including Chef Ken’s newest product will guarantee to satisfy.
