Marie's 12 week reFORM School Transformation is complete

Marie reflects on the past 12 weeks

"As my 12-week program came to an end I began to think about my exercise journey that started back in January. I have never made a New Year’s resolution before this year. I figured if I wasn’t going to follow through with it then why bother. This year was very different. When I rang in 2012 I had a New Year’s resolution in mind. I knew I wanted to get rid of my 3-year span of doing nothing. My weight was the worst of my life and I didn’t want to make excuses any longer. I made that New Year’s resolution and I kept it. I started with 30 straight days of exercise. I had to go to the gym, walk in the neighborhood, or use an exercise video. If I missed a day I would have to start all over. I was on the honor system with myself. I never had to start over and that first thirty days jump-started the rest of my journey. At some point I decided I needed help with my exercise journey. I signed up for the 12-week transformation.Marie transformed in 12 weeks of personal training reFORM School Katrina recently shared the before and after photos with me and I was shocked by the images. I see myself every day in the mirror and I thought I knew what I started with back in July. The shock I experienced was good and bad.  The shock was good because so many positive changes happened from July to October. The first thing I noticed in the October picture was my new butt!  The shock was bad because I pondered what I must have looked like back in January. I didn’t take any photos of myself in January. I didn’t want to see what the camera would capture. Now I wish I had taken those photos in January just for curiosity’s sake.  I think the before and after photos are so important because they will remind me of where I’ve been and where I never want to be again.Marie transformed with 12 weeks of personal training reFORM School My 12-week transformation program may be over, but I’m still energized and willing to work hard to meet future goals. Setting realistic short-term goals was the best thing I did during the 12-week transformation and the months leading up to it. I added new things one week at a time. I didn’t try to do everything at once because I knew it would have been overwhelming and I would have eventually just given up. One week I figured out the best way for me to drink enough water through out the day. Another week I focused on ways to get to sleep on time so I would get 7-8 hours a night. I generally only changed one or two ‘not so good’ habits a week so my routines could adjust and adapt. I slowly added these healthy living choices in order to create a healthy life style. This healthier life style I speak of still has room to grow! I have been talking about it ever since, but this past weekend I had the chance to share the concept with a group of people I barely knew and I felt empowered.  I never thought I would run anywhere much less glow while discussing my experience with this exercise app.  The one thing I wish for everyone is to feel that same empowerment. If you are contemplating making a change then I charge you to do so. You came to this website for a reason, right?'   We congratulate Marie on all her success these past 12 weeks, and look forward to continuing to work with her on new goals. Come celebrate her completion of the program with us on Friday, October 26th at the studio at 6:30pm! And if you are ready to start working on your own short term goals and transformation on step at a time, contact us today to discuss a program tailored for you. 843-284-3340.
